Ok, I have the pictures out of order. Last week was crazy and flew by. Aubrey is doing great in school and we went for Parent Information Night and learned what she does inside Kindergarten. She is adjusting well and is already learning so many new things.
We went to Nana and Papa's in Branson this weekend. We hit the lake on Saturday in Papa's boat (it held 15 people). The kids went tubing and swimming. We then headed down to Branson Landing at 6pm and tried to get a reservation at Joe's Crab Shack. They informed us it would be a 3 hour wait. We had five hungry kiddos so we opted for Famous Daves wait of 1 1/2 hours. The food was excellent.
The first pictures are of Aubrey and Nick tonight. Aubrey got wet in the rainstorm and was freezing. She went and put on a sweater, hat, gloves, and slippers. Of course Nick had to follow her and proceeded to get his outdoor gear on.
Have a good week,

happy sunday
Hi everyone, sorry it's taken me so long to blog. Everyday life just seems to fly by and before you know it the weekend is over. Aubrey loved kindergarten and did great Thur and Friday. She can't wait to go back and it really makes it easier on me too. I took a week off and went back to work on Friday and then was on call from Friday night to Sunday morning at 7am. We have to take call in the recovery room approximately every 13-14 weekend. Well I got called in alot. On sat day I was there from 8-3pm, then 8-10:30 pm, then 1:30-3am. I was blown out tired, but we still went to church for the blessing of the backpacks. Jay went to Columbia this
weekend to help my brother Todd sheet rock a 4th bedroom.
My mom and grandma helped me out a ton by watching
the kids.
The pictures are of the kids Sat afternoon. They love each other in the first and hate each other in the second. I just let them go at it and they worked it out on the thier own. Note Aubrey's highlights in her hair. Ma got her a kit at Target. Aubrey was so excited to have pink and blue hair highlights. They washed right out today so no body have a coronary!
The last two pictures are of the air vent in Nick's room. He is such a funny little guy and always puts everything in rows and according to color. He lined all his Thomas the train engines just right to fit on the vent. Another instance, today at church Nick went to the coloring table and sorted out all the green colors and all the purple colors before he started to color. Then this kid came up and threw all the colors on the ground and Nick pushed him down, but that is a whole other story.
But I thought these pictures were interesting. Boys and girls
are so different.
Hope everyone has a great week!

Kindergarten Blues
Here are the famous Kindergarten pictures. She woke up so excited. She was singing " I'm going to Kindergarten" over and over. She kept saying " I am a little nervous, mom" We told her that was perfectly normal and everyone else was nervous too. She did great all the way to school and found her teacher right away. You can tell in the last two pictures she was getting a little aprehensive (sp?). Then Mrs Birkland said, "Kindergartners, tell your parents good-bye", she then looked at me and started to cry. There was another little girl that started crying before her and I think that is what triggered it. I had my sunglasses on and I was trying so hard not to show my tears, so Mrs. Birkland took Aubrey to the front of the line and I think she was ok. I am not for sure b/c I was running to my car crying. I know she will do great and this is just part of the life process, but it still doesn't make it any easier. Jay thinks I am crazy, but I can't help it.
I will post later tonight and let you all know how the first day went!!
Love,
the crazy emotional mother
Last day before school starts
Tuesday we headed to the Aquatic Center at Tiffany Springs. It was a pretty cool place, but potentially dangerous. Both of my kids nearly drowned a couple of times. The center has a lazy river, a whirlpool, huge slide, olympic size lap pool, and a fun area that had lots of little people slides. The kids had a great time and Aubrey took our next door neighbor Serena.
Last night after supper and baths, we had a party with games and cake to celebrate Aubrey going to Kindergarten!!! She is so excited.

Party Weekend
Hi all! We had a All Star Baby shower for my brother Todd and Michelle. It was a grill out man type of shower. We all wore sports themed shirts and had coozies for party favors. But what was really funny was the game we played. The game was called what is in the diaper. All the guys were freaking out. You melt different types of candy bars in the diapers and you have to figure out what kind of candy bar is in there. Some examples included were Baby Ruth, Reeces, Peppermint Patty, Snickers, Three Musketeers, Twix, and many more!! We are so excited about meeting Baby Luke! Only 5-6 more weeks!
The last picture is of my brother Daniel trying the carrier on with his niece Lydia. We were laughing so hard!

No eyelashes for Aubrey
Here are the pictures of my dear daughter's eyelashes and eyebrows (what is left of them). You can see she didn't get all of them on the inside of her eye. She told me " Mom, I guess I wasn't using my thinking cap." Hopefully they will grow back b/c she had amazing long eyelashes before. I looked it up and it usually takes 90 days to grow back.
Also I have a funny story about my son. I don't like coffee but my brother has turned me on to Chocolate covered expresso beans. They are awesome. If you eat two or three its like a whole cup of coffee. My brother gave me a huge jar for my birthday. The other day I was taking a shower and I thought Nick was watching cartoons, but he wasn't. I yelled for him after I got out of the shower and he came up the stairs carrying the jar of Choxie expresso beans and chocolate all over his face with a smile. I wondered how much he ate, but I found out it was quite a few. I later was drying my hair and I heard this loud boom and he was up on the counter in the kitchen getting into the cabinet getting sprinkles out of the spice cabinet. He was shaking and having trouble getting the lid off the sprinkle jar. I then realized he probably had too many chocolate covered expresso beans. Nick was very shakey, he couldn't make his hands work because he was so hopped up on caffiene. Pretty funny! Moral of the story, don't feed your kids chocolate covered expresso beans!!!

ok I have to vent!
I came home a little early tonight b/c I am having a hard time realizing Aubrey is going to Kindergarten next week. I wanted to spend a little time with her and tuck her in. When I got home she had not picked up her room and she was complaining her eye hurt. I looked at her, dismissed it and went on. Then a couple minutes later after getting her room picked up I noticed something. I took a good look again, and asked her if she did anything she shouldn't have, and she said "I cut my eyebrow." Ok I took a deep breath, "What?" She said " I cut my eyebrow and eyelashes with my blue scissors." I completely lost it. I really don't understand why she thought that would be ok. I had to walk away and take many deep deep breaths so I would not say something I shouldn't. She looks different and strange. We later find out that she also cut her brothers eyelashes on one eye. I do not know why she did it and I hope I can make it through this whole parenting thing without blowing a gasket in my head. I will take some pictures in the morning so you all can see what I am talking about.

30th birthday party
Here are some pictures from my surprise birthday party! Jay was very sneaky ! We had planned to go to a free concert and eat at the new T-Rex restaurant, but we needed to use my grandma's car (b/c it holds six people) so we pulled up and I thought to my self "That is wierd, I wonder who is having a party" I then dismissed it and started loading the car seats and noticed everyone going inside. It all started clicking when I looked around and recognized some of the cars. I was still trying to process it when I opened the door and before I realized what was going on everyone said " SUPRISE"!!!
I was so shocked b/c my birthday is not until this weekend. Jay had set up a seperate email account to invite everyone. He also arranged a touching video collage that was incredible and made me cry like a baby! We had burgers, brauts, and lots of yummy good food. Thank you Jay and everyone who made this the very best birthday party of my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi all,
Here are some pictures of Aubrey at Girl Scout Camp. She had a great time. It was good wholesome outdoor fun. It was called Twilight Camp at was held at Ernest Shepard area in Liberty. They had to wear t-shirts (no tank tops), shorts (Aubrey only own two pairs b/c she always wears skirts), socks, and tennis shoes(which she does not like, she wears sandals). They were also required to wear a hat or a bandana at all times. She looked so sweet.
Jay had a suprise 30th Birthday for me last Saturday night. It was amazing. He really did suprise me, and I had no idea. He is a really special person. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family and circle of friends. Thank you for everyone who attended. I will post pictures soon!
Have a good wednesday!

Happy Friday
Hi everyone! Hope you all made it through the heat. We have stayed in pretty close this past week and weekend. Just thought I would post some pictures of Aubrey and Nick attempting to roller skate. They thought it was sooo fun inside on the carpet and insisted we go out side around the cul da sac. Needless to say Nick wiped out almost instantly and could not get up. You can see he is almost in tears, but I couldn't stop laughing. Aubrey was very cautious (as she always is) and went slow and did great until the slope in the driveway and then slipped and fell. Aubrey is going to Girl Scout Twilight Camp this week. I will post some pics later. Oh by the way here is a link to my sister in law Kari's new blog. I think it is catching on !
